Clean, user-first website designed to simplify van browsing and enquiries.

Why spacing is more emotional than you think

When Flexibuy Vans approached us, they didn’t just need a website. They needed a digital foundation for a new brand—something that could clearly communicate their offering, build trust, and convert curious visitors into confident buyers.

I led the entire design process from scratch, working closely with the team to understand their audience, define structure, and craft an experience that feels straightforward, credible, and genuinely helpful.

The Brief

Flexibuy Vans is a sister company of Vansco Ltd, offering flexible van purchasing options for small businesses and tradespeople across the UK. Unlike traditional dealerships, Flexibuy focuses on affordable, adaptable financing—and their website had to reflect that clarity and flexibility from the first click.

01 — Research & Strategy

Before diving into design, I spent time understanding:

  • Who the users are (primarily small business owners, couriers, and trade workers)

  • What matters most to them (trust, simplicity, fast access to details)

  • Where competitors were falling short (clunky navigation, unclear pricing, too much jargon)

From there, I outlined the core goals:

  • Make browsing vans fast and intuitive

  • Communicate Flexibuy’s flexible purchase model clearly

  • Keep conversion paths (like enquiries) short and frictionless

02 — Structuring the Experience

I mapped out a clear structure:

  • A clean homepage with direct access to the van catalogue

  • Simple filters (make, model, price, features)

  • Dedicated van pages with key specs, imagery, and enquiry forms

  • An FAQ and finance explainer page to reinforce trust

Everything was designed to be logical, quick to scan, and conversion-friendly.

03 — Designing the Interface

Visually, the brand needed to feel:

  • Trustworthy, not overly corporate

  • Clean, but never cold

  • Professional, but still easygoing

I designed a fully responsive interface, with:

  • A card-based catalogue layout for browsing

  • Clear CTAs like “Find Your Van” and “Get a Quote”

  • High-quality van imagery and essential details surfaced upfront

  • Consistent spacing and visual hierarchy across breakpoints

04 — Build & Collaboration

Working closely with developers, we:

  • Built a robust backend system to manage van listings

  • Optimized performance across desktop and mobile

  • Integrated secure contact forms and CTA tracking

  • Ensured the site was scalable for future categories and content

The Result

Flexibuy Vans now has a site that feels as practical as its offer. It helps users find what they’re looking for quickly, understand how flexible ownership works, and take the next step with confidence.

This project was a full-stack design challenge—from understanding the audience to shaping the visual language. It’s a site built for real users, solving real needs.
